How to Train Your Drone

How do we understand the machines in our lives? How do we come to appreciate them? How do they become meaningful to us?

I designed three different drones and paired them up with three housemates. Each housemate taught their drone to fly by guiding it with their hands. After one month, four specialised drone-pilot pairings developed. Each with their own unique set of capabilities and limitations. This project was conducted at the VX Lab and with the Interaction Design Team at KTH.
